Police confirmed that the incident on Avenue de la Gare saw an unidentified individual confront a woman, snatching her phone before vanishing into the night. Detectives have opened an investigation, seeking clues to the assailant’s identity.
Meanwhile, the early hours brought reports of thwarted and successful break-ins. In Clervaux, a homeowner on Route de Bastogne had a narrow escape when an intruder, after breaching their garage, was startled by the piercing shriek of an alarm, forcing a swift, empty-handed retreat.

However, not all attempts were unsuccessful. A resident of a Hollerich apartment building on Boulevard Docteur Charles Marx awoke to discover an uninvited guest had entered through a window during the night, making off with a laptop. These incidents serve as a reminder for heightened vigilance in residential areas.
