Mango Invests in “Craft Your Future”

Spanish fashion group Mango has taken a direct step into fashion education with the launch of Craft Your Future, a training programme designed to address a growing skills gap in the industry. Rolled out in late 2025 and delivered in partnership with LCI Barcelona School of Design, the initiative focuses on the technical disciplines that underpin fashion production but are increasingly hard to source across Europe.

The five month course is hosted at LCI Barcelona and is heavily subsidised by Mango, reflecting the company’s intention to lower barriers to entry for young talent. Around 20 participants were selected for the first intake, bringing together final year fashion students and early career professionals seeking to strengthen their technical grounding. Teaching covers pattern making, industrial garment construction, digital prototyping and quality control, with a strong emphasis on applying these skills to real production scenarios.

Feedback from the first cohort has been largely positive. Participants described the programme as intensive and demanding but welcomed its practical orientation and close alignment with industry expectations. Several noted that exposure to industrial processes and digital tools offered a clearer understanding of how design decisions translate into manufacturable garments, an area often underrepresented in traditional fashion education.

Craft Your Future sits within Mango’s wider 4E Strategic Plan, under the Elevate pillar, which aims to reinforce craftsmanship, product quality and design credibility. For the company, the programme is as much about long term talent development as it is about safeguarding technical know how that supports its supply chain and product standards.

The course concludes with a final project in which participants present prototypes to a panel of industry professionals, offering both assessment and networking opportunities. As European fashion groups face increasing pressure to balance creativity, sustainability and industrial efficiency, Mango’s initiative signals a growing willingness among brands to invest directly in the next generation of technical expertise.
